A book fair is a fair where different types of books are brought for both sale and show off. January and February are the best time for organizing book fairs. So, a book fair is usually held in those months. In our country, it is held in almost all cities and towns. The largest book fair is organized by Bangla Academy on the occasion of the 21st of February. The main purpose of a book fair is not sales, but it offers a rare opportunity to assess the advancement made in the publication of books. A book fair helps to create new writers as well as new readers. It inspires common people to form the habit of reading books.
অনুবাদঃ একটি বই মেলা এমন একটি মেলা যেখানে বিক্রয় এবং শো অফ উভয়ের জন্য বিভিন্ন ধরণের বই আনা হয়। জানুয়ারি ও ফেব্রুয়ারি হচ্ছে বইমেলা আয়োজনের সেরা সময়। সুতরাং, সাধারণত সেই মাসগুলিতে একটি বই মেলা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। আমাদের দেশে এটি প্রায় সব শহর ও শহরে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। ২১ ফেব্রুয়ারি উপলক্ষে বাংলা একাডেমির আয়োজনে সবচেয়ে বড় বইমেলার আয়োজন করা হয়। একটি বই মেলার মূল উদ্দেশ্য বিক্রয় নয়, তবে এটি বই প্রকাশনায় অগ্রগতির মূল্যায়ন করার একটি বিরল সুযোগ প্রদান করে। একটি বই মেলা নতুন লেখকদের পাশাপাশি নতুন পাঠক তৈরি করতে সহায়তা করে। এটি সাধারণ মানুষকে বই পড়ার অভ্যাস গড়ে তুলতে অনুপ্রাণিত করে।
